The HBA of F-M's primary purpose is to promote legislation that keeps housing affordable and provide industry representation in our capitol and at the city and county levels. The HBA of F-M is here to voice members' concerns and appeal legislative action that isn't in the best interest of the housing industry and affordable housing at the local, state or national level.
The HBA of F-M provides the opportunity to further its members' and area citizens' education through several seminars and educational opportunities. Examples include: Minnesota contractor continuing education offerings, electrical contractor continuing education and special industry-related education addressing issues on the forefront. The HBA also hosts consumer seminars on numerous topics at the Fall Home Show and Red River Valley Home & Garden Show.
Members get the most up-to-date information on industry issues, local building permit activity, regulations and more through the Plains Builder, Permits Plus, the weekly email and the members-only section of our website.
Members have access to our job bank on this website and can post industry-related postings at no charge. The HBA of F-M can also post your jobs on its space at careerfargomoorhead.com through the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corporation.
There are great opportunities for members to get involved, like membership meetings, the golf outings and committees. Building relationships means participating in Association activities. Involved members get more value from their membership.
Members can market themselves and their companies in a variety of ways, including participation in the Home & Garden Show, Parade of Homes, Remodeled Home Tour, by advertising in our publications and online or by sponsoring our members-only and public events. The HBA of F-M has something for every target, whether consumer-related or business-to-business.
Three memberships in one! Upon joining the HBA of F-M, members also hold membership with North Dakota Association of Builders and National Association of Home Builders. The HBA of F-M also has a relationship with Builders Association of Minnesota for licensed builders in Minnesota.
NAHB's Member Advantage program offers access to discounts and savings opportunities offered by many top companies like General Motors, Lowes, Dell, Hertz, UPS, travel discounts and more. When using these programs please identify yourself as a member of the National Association of Home Builders.
