About the seminars…

Sue Whitney has been dubbed the “JunkMaster.” She has turned her passion for junk into a business. She specializes in one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories and, in this green era, has found ways to re-purpose nostalgia. She incorporates a presentation in her stage show with photos and graphics while sharing tips, techniques and “junking secrets” with the audience. Whitney has had numerous appearances on the Today Show and regular segments on HGTV’s “Country Style.”

Reena Nerbas, also known as Lady MacGyver, uses her degree in human ecology combined with down-to-earth, practical experiences, solid research and a lively sense of humor, to bring household solutions to homeowners for almost every problem. Did you know that vinegar has over 1,500 uses; peanut butter is great for removing scratches on CDs; ketchup is fantastic for polishing brass; cinnamon is a great non-toxic air freshener; and mayonnaise removes watermarks on wood? Contributing to national print publications and answering questions on radio programs across Canada has made Nerbas aware of every-day family, financial and time-saving concerns.

Along with the Fall Home Show’s featured speakers, local experts will offer seminars including using fine art to give a home unique identity.
